Good morning GPC members, 

Our Corporate Board of Directors is looking to engage an external service provider to conduct a best practice review (external governance / audit review) of its governance system (i.e. guidelines, policies, etc.). Has your Board been through a similar exercise and if so, would you have any suggestions of external service providers? Thanks!  

We had one done in 2016 and used IOG (Institute on Governance).  We were very satisfied and pleased with their analysis and recommendations.  We are still working with them for every board recruitment process.  The partner we worked with is Laura Edgar.

We have used Deloitte for a Board Governance Effectiveness Review as well as a Committee Performance Review and were very impressed with their process, their summaries of themes for consideration and their recommendations.
