The Evolution of Proxy Solicitation

  • 20 Nov 2009
  • 8:00 AM - 9:30 AM
  • Bentall 5 Conference Center, lobby level

Have you ever wondered what a proxy solicitor does and can do for you, outside of the heat of a takeover transaction? Do you know what a “Shareholder Asset Reunification Program” is, and how it might help to clean up your shareholders’ list?

As the face of AGMs has changed over the years, proxy solicitation services have changed with it. In light of this new era and the responsibilities and pressures that go with it, proxy solicitors can be a highly useful resource for Corporate Secretaries.

Our presenter will be David Salmon of the Laurel Hill Advisory Group, who will be speaking on the role of the proxy solicitor and how a proxy solicitor can assist a Corporate Secretary in preparing for an AGM and otherwise provide helpful services in the context of the role of the Corporate Secretary.

Coffee and breakfast goodies will be served, courtesy of Laurel Hill.

Please RSVP to Pat Parisotto at pparisotto@discoverycapital.com by Monday, November 16, 2009.
